• Katie has been with the Sebastopol Area Senior Center since August 2017, and after a short break, she has returned as Executive Director in October 2023. Working in senior services over the last seven years, Katie is a passionate and dedicated leader in the field of senior services with a deep commitment to enhancing the lives of older adults. She has played an instrumental role in creating a warm and vibrant space for our community's older adults to belong.

    Katie holds her Master's degree in Public Administration/Nonprofit Management from Sonoma State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Communications.

  • Rebecca started with the Senior Center in the Fall of 2020 as Director of Programs & Communication. This last year, she worked remotely as our Marketing Coordinator, and has recently returned to a new role here in-person at the Center.

    Rebecca brings with her over 10 years of experience working in local nonprofits. After many years in retail management, Rebecca changed her path to non-profit work which has been very rewarding especially in her own community. Rebecca currently resides in Sebastopol with her husband and her Corgi Olive! In her spare time she enjoys camping and loves sports.

  • Clint, a native of Sonoma County, currently resides in Sebastopol. He began volunteering at the Sebastopol Area Senior Center in 2019, and we were fortunate to welcome him as a staff member in August 2020. Clint enjoys engaging with the community through the Senior Center and is passionate about acquiring new skills each day. A true jack of all trades, he has tackled nearly every role here and currently leads the Harvest Cafe, committed to sourcing the finest ingredients for homemade meals. An interesting tidbit about Clint is that he constructed his house with his own hands, with a little assistance from friends and neighbors!

  • As the newest member to the SASC team, I can honestly say this house is hoppin! I’ve been busy learning the ropes and finding new events for you every day. As always, our favorite ongoing classes remain consistent in 2025! Thanks for all your class recommendations and suggestions. I love hearing from you!

    I have been a Sebastopol community member myself for 30 years and have worked in administration and operations at West County Health Centers and the Sebastopol Community Cultural Center. You may have met me at one of those locations.

  • Aubri serves as our Transportation Coordinator, expertly arranging rides for seniors with the help of her fantastic volunteer drivers. A resident of Sonoma County for over thirty years, she joined the Sebastopol Senior Center in 2023 and brings with her decades of experience in hospitality. In addition to her transportation role, she is also the Curator for our Perspectives Gallery. When she’s not busy scheduling rides or curating art, Aubri enjoys gardening, reading, and capturing beautiful photographs.

  • Emily loves to greet you as you walk through our doors!  She is a Sonoma County native and a mother to a 4-year-old boy. She has been with the senior center since 2022. Through many years of work in west county as a housekeeper working directly with members of the community, she discovered her passion for helping others. Assisting with day-to-day tasks while sharing kindness and conversation provides Emily with such joy and fulfillment.

  • A native of Sonoma County, Lisa has a Master’s in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Agency Management from Sonoma State University and has worked in the areas of non-profit administration and finance for over 35 years. During her career Lisa has been the Executive Director of Chrysalis Community Counseling Services, Staff Accountant at The Climate Center, and has provided accounting services for New Horizon School and Learning Center, The B-Rad Foundation and other local businesses and nonprofits.

  • Geri relocated from Oakland, CA and is a California native 4th generation San Franciscan. Geri has a long history of coordinating home health care services at various acute care hospitals in the Bay Area. Geri loves walking, yoga, spending time outdoors, watercolor painting (specifically painting on used teabags to make cards for friends and family) and spending time with her husband and her two little dogs.

  • Scotty has been with the Senior Center since 2018. He currently serves as LGBT+ Liaison, organizing many LGBT+ events throughout the year including discussions, mixers, outings, and the yearly Pride Parade. Scotty has significantly increased participation in the LGBT+ events hosted by the Center. Scotty enjoys hiking, camping, and kayaking on weekends, which helps him stay on top of his type 1 diabetes (48 years taking insulin). In his spare time, he enjoys attending the theater, live music, and is a ceramic artist making horsehair pottery.

  • Joanne Cooter has been with The Legacy for almost ten years, first volunteering and then accepting the job of Assistant Manager. In 2022, Joanne became the Store manager.

    Joanne’s crafting skills run deep in her family as her grandmother and mother had a fabric shop in Marin County for several years. One might say crafting is “in her blood”. She enjoys knitting, sewing, and projects around the house in her spare time.

  • Brittany K. Roney has been a creative enthusiast since the age of four and comes to The Legacy with a wealth of knowledge in various mediums. As a Fine Arts major in college, Brittany enjoys illustration, jewelry making, photography and sewing. Having worked in bead shops as an instructor for over 15 years, Brittany has published over 20 online jewelry making tutorials and enjoys sharing the creative process with others. She looks forward to immersing herself among artists, crafters and hobbyists at The Legacy! Brittany resides in Rohnert Park with her husband, 4.5 year old daughter and two adorable Chihuahuas.

  • Kathleen was a court reporter for 30 years. She volunteered at The Legacy for about 13 years before she was hired as Retail Associate in 2024. The Legacy has provided the opportunity for her to use what she learned from having taken classes through the Fashion Department at SRJC, plus learning more about sewing, crafts, and working with other materials.
