Make a Donation
We accept donations Monday and Wednesday through Saturday, 10am to 5pm, or until we reach capacity for the day.
We do not accept donations on Tuesdays.
Since we often reach capacity by the end of the day, we recommend calling The Legacy beforehand to confirm we’re still accepting donations.

Our Story
In late 1993, the Sebastopol Area Senior Center received a remarkable gift: a man from Burlingame donated his late wife’s extensive collection of crafting materials. Her lifetime collection became the foundation for a small resale shop—one that would eventually grow into The Legacy. Since then, The Legacy has thrived, fueled by generous donations from crafters throughout the county. Today, the store is beautifully stocked with supplies of every kind. Depending on current donations, you might find everything from upholstery-weight fabrics to silk, natural and synthetic yarns, threads in every imaginable color, ribbons, bindings, knitting and sewing needles, acrylic paints, brushes, and even sewing patterns.
